Wondering how much chlorine your central water filtration system can reduce? This depends on the incoming chlorine concentration. Let's learn a little more below!
Where can I find this information?
You can find the specifications in your Owner's Manual. It's within the first couple pages of the manual.
How do I find out how much chlorine I have in my water?
The rated Chlorine Concentration (left) is the amount of chlorine in your water supply. To determine this, you'll need to purchase a testing kit or bring a sample of water to a treatment center.
How long my system last with that chlorine level?
The gallons listed (right) is the total estimated gallons that your central water filtration system can treat before the media is exhausted. Once the media reaches its lifespan, it's time to either swap it out or replace the entire system. The average lifespan of our systems is about 10 years.
For example:
Based on the chart below, if your water's chlorine level is 2.0 ppm, the BRWCWS will be able to treat approx. 570,000 gallons of water before the activated carbon media is exhausted.
