Set the Time
1. You'll start off by setting the time. The words 'Present Time' should be displayed on the screen. If they aren't, go ahead and tap the 'Program' button once and you should see them come up. Now, use the Up and Down arrows to adjust the time on the screen.
2. Tap the 'Program' button when you've set it and head to the next section.
Set the 'Days Between Clean Rinse Cycles'
1. The next thing you'll do is set the days between Clean Rinse Cycles. It'll show as 'Recharge' on the screen. The default is going to be 14 days.
2. You can change this setting by using the Up and Down arrows. If you have a high value of sediment or chlorine, you'll want the number of days closer together so that the unit will clean itself more often.
3. Once you've got your preferred number, tap the 'Program' button and go to the next section.
Set the Clean Rinse Time
1. The Recharge Time should be on the screen now. This is what time the system will run through the cleaning cycle. The default is set to 1:00 AM. Use the Up and Down arrows if you'd like to change the time.
2. Once your time is set tap the 'Program' button. If you'd like to change the length of the Backwash and Clean Rinse cycles, head to the next section. Otherwise, your programming is complete.
Set the Length of Backwash and Clean Rinse
1. Go ahead and hold the Program button until '000' appears, then let go. Tap the 'Program' button again to display the Backwash Time (in minutes). The default is set for 2 minutes. If you have high concentrations of Chlorine or Sediment, you can increase this value with the Up arrow.
2. Tap the 'Program' button again to display the Rinse Time (in minutes). The default is set for 1 minute. If you have high concentrations of Chlorine or Sediment, you can increase this value with the Up arrow.
NOTE: This unit drains at a rate of 3.4 gallons/min. The water usage during a recharge with the default values is about 10-12 gallons of water.
3. Last step, tap the 'Program' button once to return to the home screen. You're done!
