Installation Checklist
It's recommended that you create a checklist to ensure you don’t miss any important steps. We've created one for you below but you should also use your Owner's Manual during this process to ensure proper installation:
- Your system can be installed directly under your sink, or remotely if you need more space.
- Keep in mind where you'll be installing the faucet. You may use an existing hole in the sink or need to drill a new one.
- Go ahead and gather your tools according to the Owner’s Manual.
- You'll want to gather and inventory the installation parts and accessories that came with your unit.
- Now, you can turn your cold water supply off and open/turn on your sink faucet to release pressure.
- Install the Cold Water Supply Fitting to your water supply line.
- You can now install the Drain Adaptor to your sink’s drainpipe (not applicable if installing remotely). Pro Tip: Make sure to install the adaptor above the P-trap. It should be in a position where the black drain hose can run from your Osmosis faucet to the drain without kinks, loops, dips, or bends.
- You're ready to place your Reverse Osmosis Filter Assembly into the preferred location. If mounting the unit, make sure to leave enough room to easily change filters.
- Go ahead and install the storage tank but don't connect the tubing yet.
- Now, determine the sink top location for the faucet if you haven't already.
- Install the faucet onto the hole and connect the loose end of red tubing to the proper port on the faucet base.
- Last part here is to cut the tubes to your desired length and connect appropriately to the unit, supply, drain, and tank. Then follow the instructions in the next section to get your new RO unit ready for use.
Sanitize, Test, and Purge Checklist
Continue to follow the Owner's Manual carefully when performing the next steps.
- Sanitize your system with household bleach as described in Step G of the Owner’s Manual.
- Open your water supply to Pressure test the system for about 2 hours and examine for leaks.
- Purge your new unit. This rinses out any carbon fines or loose material from the filter cartridges.
