Are you noticing constant draining from your reverse osmosis unit? That may mean something isn't working quite right. Let's do some troubleshooting to fix your issue.
1. Is your RO unit connected to an icemaker?
- NO - Continue to step 2.
- YES - The icemaker may be requiring water production. To check this, remove the postfilter (pictured below) and wait for your storage tank to fill (could be several hours). If it continues to make noise even after the tank fills, continue to step 2.
Turn the filter clockwise to remove.
2. Is your storage tank full? You can tell your tank is full by picking it up. You'll notice it'll be heavy with water.
- YES - If the storage tank is full and you're hearing constant drainage or dripping, we recommend you replace the manifold. You can find information on purchasing replacement parts here. Otherwise, check out What is My Warranty to see if you're still covered.
- NO - If your storage tank is empty, it'll weigh about 5 lbs. In this case, you'll want to head over to our article Reverse Osmosis Tank Not Filling to work on this.
