Do you see VAC on the display screen of your central water filtration system? Don’t worry this isn’t an error code. The ‘VAC’ display message lets you know that the filter is in a 'pause' mode for vacations or extended time away from home. Below, we explain how this feature works and how to turn it on and off.
‘VAC’ indicates your unit is in manual clean mode. This means instead of running on an automatic cleaning schedule, the unit will only go through a clean cycle when you force one. This is useful if you're going on a long vacation or leaving the unit idle for an extended time.
To take it off 'VAC' mode:
- Push the Clean button and let go right away one time. You should see the current time displayed on the screen, letting you know your unit has switched back to automatic.
To turn on 'VAC' mode:
- Push the Clean button again once to switch back to the manual ‘VAC’ mode.
