A poor taste coming from your filtered water could mean the system needs to be sanitized, or the filters need replacing.
1. Filter Age
Your filters have an average lifetime of about 6 months - depending on use and water quality. If your filters are still fairly new (under a few months), you may want to swap them out and see if the poor taste continues.
a. If it does, your system needs to be sanitized (see below).
b. If the poor taste was from the filters, you may wish to contact us or the retailer you purchased from. Please locate the original receipt and 5-digit date code from the filter sticker prior to reaching out.
2. Sanitizing
It is a good rule of thumb to sanitize your system every few years, or when you return from a long vacation. You can follow the steps in your Owner's Manual, or consider a reusable Sanitizing Kit (recommended).
