Need to replace the flow control insert? We're here to help! Let's get started on replacing this essential piece of your Reverse Osmosis system.
Remove the Flow Control
1. You want to start by turning the feed water off to your system or you can remove the Prefilter to stop water production during this process.
2. On your unit, find the gray elbow that attaches the red hose to your filter assembly. Note: If your unit doesn't have a gray elbow, the flow control insert is located inside the end of the red hose (where it connects to the housing).
3. To get to the flow control insert, remove the gray elbow from your system by pushing IN on the red collet port, and pulling OUT on the gray elbow or hose.
4. You'll use the same process to remove the hose from the elbow. Push IN on the gray port and pull OUT on the red hose. Go ahead and take out the small Flow Control insert piece.
Install the New Flow Control
1. Now, you'll take your new flow control and push it into the elbow. Then attach the elbow to the red hose. Make sure they're both pushed in and secured firmly.
2. Go ahead and push the gray elbow into the red collet port on the filter assembly. You'll want to make sure it's secure, so give it a little tug on the elbow.
3. You can go ahead and turn the feed water back on or screw the Prefilter back on. You're finished! We recommend that you monitor the system for the next few hours for any leaks at this new connection.
