Depending on the model and age of your system, you may have an LED light in the base of your faucet. This LED light is a timer to remind you to change your filters every 6 months. Let's go through how to change that battery.
Tools Needed: Phillips/Cross-head screwdrivers
1. You'll need to remove the screw on the right side of your faucet (pictured above).
2. Pull the battery housing up from the faucet base to reveal the battery.
3. Put a new battery in (CR 2023 or equivalent). The battery will fit in the housing with the (-) side facing forward, and (+) side facing the back of the faucet.
4. Once the battery is installed, you'll see the LED light flash six (6) times, to show that it's fully charged. After the LED stops flashing, it'll turn off until 6 months later when you need to change the filters.
5. For the last steps, you'll push the battery housing back onto the faucet base, and then reinstall the screw.
